I like it. The endings are the best part.

Gave up on it. But the lead is surprisingly good. He was boring and not funny on Adam Corolla's podcast but he has real star quality as a comic actor.

troy and abed!!!
35f6, that first episode was kinda a turd but it gets better with every episode. troy and abed are prolly the best part about it. odd chemistry together. |

Oh, that black dude was the stand out performer in some web based comedy team called Derrick Comedy. Saw him perform stand up at the UCB, he was like a really vulgar Bill Cosby so, yeah, I guess he was like a young Eddie Murphy. edit: ah shit, they're from NYU...

i think the 3rd episode is the one where abed makes a short film about his dad. that shit was brilliant! anyways its a well cast, well written sitcom and can hold its own among the nbc thursday nite comedy heavyweights.

It's okay. It's the same way I feel about 30 Rock. I generally get a kick out of it if I watch it, but I'm never inclined to turn it on.

Caught a couple episodes on Hulu and I gotta admit it's kinda funny.

The first episode sucked, the second episode was mildly amusing, the third episode was pretty funny, by the fourth episode they started busting the most random stuff I've ever seen and it just keeps getting more random and more obscure with the references. Punch-kicker vs. Kick-Puncher... comedy gold. I also loved the slam on the premise of @#$% My Dad Says at the beginning of this season.
The show makes me feel old though, like when Pearce made a reference to Billy Joel and Troy mouths "Who is Billy Joel?" to the others. Or when Jeff gave the old adage "Why don't you take a picture? It will last longer." and the guy the he is talking to takes out his cell phone and snaps a picture. |
