At a time when many news organizations are cutting back, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting is continuing its efforts to bolster in-depth journalism in public media. The corporation said on Tuesday that it was giving “Frontline” a $6 million, two-year grant that would allow it to expand its investigative programming to a year-round schedule on PBS stations.

^ I think it's more about power and control.
Good episode last night. The US is in such a media blackout that I didn't realize that these claims started over 5 years ago.

I found it riveting how someone could sway influence in government by sheer blackmail. Policies and laws changed in wholesale to his advantage. Fox News enthusiasts should really see this to episode. They're being taken for a ride here just as it is across the pond. They're also hornswoggled into voting for policies and officials that run counter to their interests.

^ fox watchers would just call it liberal propaganda.
even if fox, itself, said "we are lying to you", people would still call it liberal propaganda. and if you ever got them to admit, that, yes, fox lies, they would say "well, everybody lies".

I would say that would be true. They seem to have this impenetrable bubble surrounding them. Having the internet galvanize their half-truths doesn't help either.
