i was biking home from work when i saw a big pile of brown stuff under a tree. i thought it was nuts or something, but when i almost ran over that pile, i saw that it was a giant pile of writhing bees, with a few bees flying above them. i stayed my distance and took pictures, and warned a couple of pedestrians walking down that area.

the next morning, i saw the pile of bees, but the bees were no longer moving. by afternoon, all of the bees were gone.

Yam, I saw your pics and was like, "Those look like they were taken with a Fuji X100!" and lo and behold they are! I have an X100, too! Are you getting the wide angle convertor lens they are planning to release?

takes one to know one! the x100 is the camera i use the most nowadays. no plan to get the wide converter tho. i don't like shooting wide angle. i actually hesitated about buying the x100 for the longest time because i didn't know how much i'd like being permanently stuck with a moderate wideangle. now if they released a tele convertor that made the lens on this camera a normal focal length....

also thinking about the xpro1 with the normal and moderate telephoto macro lens. but i think since i have so many cameras to play with and the xpro1 is the first of its generation, i'm going to wait and see if they come out with something a bit more polished.

Yea, the xpro is NICE! I've handled several of them and the build quality is amazing! The pics I've seen look sharp and the high iso shots arent too shabby. If I had the money, I'd by one and some Leica glass.

I really like that last one. Did you stitch that by hand or did your camera generate that image for you?

it's the sweep panorama feature on the x100. i've been enjoying playing around with it because i'm normally too lazy to stich panoramas myself. it can get easily tripped up by fast movements or things with repetitive elements like bridges, but works okay for landscapes.

This photo makes me sad. I've really got to solve my binge drinking problem.

I was wondering what kind of camera that is in the last photo. Also in the one before it, is that something that's draped around someone's house or ist painted on the walls?
