Well, I goofed up the track sequence while ripping both CDs. Will have to make those changes on iTunes when I get home.
...and here I was wondering why the editing on those tracks seemed choppy *LOL* That sounds like a sick night for some Black Metal. Still need to pick up a ticket for the Agalloch show next month on this end.

This is just bizarrely weird. Allegedly Wrest (aka Jef Whitehead & Leviathan) was charged with ... bigamy?!?!

MS updated the above story saying that he's being held for the current charges against him. I guess all of the charges were dropped except for the domestic battery charge.

You didn't know about that? Yeah. Pretty messed up and scary stuff in the original legal complaint.
Also, did you see the news about Matt Pike going into rehab for alcohol? They've cancelled all of their future tour dates.

Finishing production on that last HoF album must have been really stressful for Pike.

From Agalloch's FB page:
AGALLOCH: U.S. Tour Dates Announced Band Set To Release Faustian Echoes EP “We fumed and screamed in our mountain nook, mad drunken Americans in the mighty land. We were on the roof of America and all we could do was yell, I guess—across the night, eastward over the Plains…” – Jack Kerouac, On the Road Portland musical enigmas AGALLOCH are pleased to announce a month-long bout of live performances this summer. Slated to commence on July 11 in Portland, Oregon, the tour will include a nightly rotating set list featuring both new and early material with stage times anticipated to be between 90 – 120 minutes. The band will be joined by TAURUS featuring Stevie Floyd of Dark Castle and Ashley Spungin (formerly of Purple Rhinestone Eagle) as well as various local openers throughout the journey, all hand-selected by members of AGALLOCH. Comments the band in a collective statement: “We are excited by TAURUS’ experimental and challenging music and feel they are a perfect fit for us. We have carefully selected local openers whose music fits the environment of an AGALLOCH show. Where there are no openers selected, we will play nearly 120 minutes. We are all personal fans of the openers and encourage everyone to show up early to see them.” This tour will also mark the release of AGALLOCH’s recently recorded EP Faustian Echoes a mammoth twenty-minute epic released through the band’s own imprint, Dammerung Arts. This EP was recorded at Jackpot Studio in Portland, Oregon with acclaimed engineer Billy Anderson (MELVINS, SLEEP, NEUROSIS) at the helm. It was mixed by Anderson and mastered by Justin Weis (LUDICRA, HAMMERS OF MISFORTUNE) at Trakworx in San Francisco. Though stream and digital download options will be available in the coming weeks, the LP and CD versions will only be available at the shows during the dates on the tour and will be available via mailorder after the tour. Bummed that there's no date closer to me than Chicago or Milwaukee. I mean, Bozeman, MT? But not Minneapolis or St. Paul? In the past, I would have questioned the wisdom of that but not so much...
So, I went to the Marduk, 1394, Withered, and Weapon show on Sat. night. Not only did I go. I went while under the delusions of a low-grade fever. I ended up leaving about 1/2 or 2/3rds of the way through Marduk's set (the last of the night). I was really disappointed by the turnout. The venue is not that big and it wasn't anywhere close to full. The crowd were pretty low energy, too. I had an excuse. Not sure what the deal was with everyone else. I can see why we get skipped by so many metal tours now. I would probably skip here, too, if I played to the kind of room on Sat. night. The Marduk front man kept trying to get the crowd up and the crowd would yell then they would go dead quiet again immediately. WTH.

That's unfortunate. It's summertime on a Saturday night. How could it be that way? Man, my dance card for July is quickly getting filled. It's like making up for those months in the first half of 2012 where I barely went out at night to see a show.

Exactly! And, it's not like these bands come through that often.

Promoters suddenly become tentative about the music acts they bring locally if there's little or no support from the fan base. It was like that for a while with hip hop concert promotion for Seattle. Thank goodness things have changed for that scene locally.

Spotify has both editions of the new Gojira album. I listened to the expanded edition (or whatever it's called) last night. Awesome record.

Missed them when they came to town. These days I've been confusing them and Meshuggah for some strange reason. Maybe it's because they're all Scandanavian.
