South Korea to Sign Military Pact With Japan

SEOUL, South Korea — In a significant step toward overcoming lingering historical animosities with its former colonial master, the South Korean government has unexpectedly announced that it will sign a treaty with Japan on Friday to increase the sharing of sensitive military data on two major common concerns: North Korea’s nuclear and missile threats and China’s growing military might.

I plan on visiting South Korea next year for the first time since like the mid 80's. At least a couple months, maybe more. It's gonna be a trip. To Korea. I told some friends and they thought it was a bad idea because NORTH KOREA and KIM JONG 'whatshisname'. Cause you know, when that dude hears I'm dropping by, it's gonna be straight up INVASION USA, except KOREA.

Funny coincidence: our family (plus my parents and my brother and his wife) are all talking about going to Korea in 2014, too. I haven't been there since August of 88. My brother lived there for about 6 yrs. starting in 2000. His wife is from Korea.

I know this sounds crazy, the UN should give Korea to China under the conditions that it be a free-economic zone, in return China has to dismantle the N.Korea regime.

But I guess Koreans will find this difficult to accept.
