I've always used 10s since starting out and jamming in various bands at the snotty age of 15.

There's something about bashing that lower E string with gusto. May switch to 11s though for the SG that's tuned to C.

Even the Monotron Delay sounds crazy good. I was looking at demos on Youtube last night to pass the time.

Hey, soundcloud it sometime. I'd love to hear what the device is capable of doing.

okay. I'm not sure what type of music you do, but I used it for "notes" as opposed to crazy synth noises, though there is one portion of the song where I used it to add some crazy freakout sounds in the background.

the monotribe synth looks awesome too. I want one. http://www.korg.com/monotribe

Fender will finally be releasing a Squier lineup of their classic offset guitars. It's a bitch to see prices for Jazzmasters, Jaguars, and Mustangs go off the roof. BTW, it's still a bitch to find those J Mascis Squier Jazzmasters for some strange reason.

At least I can now rock like Johnny Marr (okay...perhaps tweak it a bit to get a four-way switch on the upper horn instead of the stock parallel switches that the models come with).

I noticed recently that the original J Mascis signature guitar (which IIRC wasn't a Squier) isn't even available anymore. The only one available is the Squier version. And, it's in a different color scheme.

Honestly, if I played more, I'd consider selling my PRS Hollowbody 2 to buy the Johnny Marr signature guitar. Really intrigued with the alterations he had made to it from the stock version.

Yeah. I think the purple Fender Mascis model was discontinued. The artist models that Fender has been endorsing from a similar standpoint are the Lee Ranaldo and Thurston Moore Jazzmasters. I actually wish Fender would come up with a Nels Cline custom Jazzmaster.

As for the Johnny Marr Jaguar, ask and you shall receive. Here's a pdf you can geek out on if you want to see the parts layout, assemble a replica with a parts list, and check out the wiring and switch control diagrams.

You must think I actually have the time or wherewithal to do this myself.

But, regardless, I love that link. love being able to see what's inside the black box!

This is my old band's bandcamp page: http://thepostops.bandcamp.com/

The last time we recorded was the beginning of 2012, then our second drummer moved. We had the Spinal Tap problem where we couldn't keep a drummer.
