Tough mudder sounds too crazy. I want to start with the easier mudders.

yeah, that's what i was thinking too. i've always wanted to do the mud run at Camp Pendleton. no crazy obstacles or other easy way to wreck your body. just a lot of hills and a lot of mud.

i think the urban runs are the worst. you gotta hurdle through rings of fire, leap over junker cars, climb fences.. wth.

i signed up. i'm going to regret this, i'm sure. i'm looking at it as a chance to bond with some of my homies that have formed a team.

Almost killed myself during dead-lifts today (figuratively, not literally... Or not). Been dealing with "weight-lifter's headache" all day. Next time I'll have to remember to breathe.

had not run since my ex felt like running in febuary. ran the disney half marathon yesterday. went 7-8 miles non stop, walked/run for 4 or so, and then ran the last mile strong.

ran 4 miles steep trail in the woods in the rain as the sun set yesterday.

it was incredible. 4 of my mudder team mates went too.

it's amazing how we can draw energy from others in those kinds of situations.

I just started rock climbing a few months ago and it really helps my jiujitsu game. My grip is getting ridiculous. I think it did more than doing crossfit. Unfortunately, the girls aren't as hot.

I think my grip has improved due to lifting, although I haven't put this to the BJJ grab-hold-of-your-gi test yet. I figure holding onto a heavy bar, sometimes by just fingertips (at the end of a rep/set) would achieve a similar end as climbing.

But yeah, those CrossFit girls can be something else

May be that your body is fighting an illness rather than soreness due to squats. This is entirely possible, not to mention I refuse to believe 30 body-weight squats can do anyone in.
