akuma - i remember reading about and watching the news about seatle, i don't think MLK would have done it that way.

i understand ak, but we're in a very diff time than mlk's era. america's downward spiral has travled too far - peaceful protests nowadays are as useful and effective as a busted condom.

i wonder what ghandi would say.

don't know what the best way is, but just the image of a violent rioter doesn't give much credibility to their cause.

i think the only thing that came out of the seatle riots was that the cops better be damned prepared.

we're talking about the us gov't, so credibility left the equation a long time ago.... and sometimes you need to fight fire with fire.

well...if all the people that was protesting felt that way (which i'm not sure if they do or don't) they shouldn't use MLK's image.

i know...

it's not that i want a violent protest cause i really don't... but i know a peaceful protest is just gonna be scoffed at by bush & his underlings and no action will be taken- especially now when it's almost definite that we're going to war. unfortunately, the only way that i see our gov't taking any action in preventing a war against iraq is by it's citizen's seriously letting bush know that we do not support this awful decision.

ie. getting on the 5 o'clock news.

it is amazing how arrogant this administration is, i read that even republican senators were complaining that they were being kept out of the loop with the white house. i can't recall of any administration in recent memory that has centralized their power as much as they have. these are scary times.

well...i hope you or anybody else doesn't get hurt...and good for you for getting involved.

"Last Friday a friend of mine in California drove to his local supermarket with a sticker on his car saying: “Peace is also Patriotic”. It was gone by the time he’d finished shopping. "

The United States of America has gone mad
