okay, so does the name/designer count...or will you rock em' no matter what brand they are as long as they're tite? (just curious to people's responses)

and how much would you shell out for a nice pair of glasses? (again, curious)

i go for good design. and usually the best designs here are name brand. when i went over to tokyo, i went to this cheap place called 8 cirlce or something..i can't remember. they had the BEST frames--but they couldn't make lenses strong enough for me my boy got a pair of cool rectangular silver ones for $80 with lenses and a sight test!!

it was over $300 for those versace glasses....eek!

Like three days ago I left my glasses on a bench at school... They were gone when I got back ten minutes later. (Why would anyone bother to steal or throw out glasses?)

They were really old anyway... I lost my last pair. (Green Fendi. I can't find a picture of them on the internet.) The pair before that broke. (All three things happened in the span of a year and a half... I think I do it subconsciously because I don't like the way they look.)

I want contacts, but the doctor won't give them to me because I have astigmatism and really bad allergies. (And small-scall allergic reactions to a bunch of really random stuff.)

tastypeanutana,

i have astigmatism too, and really sensitive eyes. i tried semi-permeable rigid contacts, but my eyes just died wearing them. painful experience.

glasses are cool anyway. but sometimes i wish my eyes could handle contacts, because glasses really get in the way doing certain things. snowboarding with goggles over my glasses: not too comfy.

Astigmatic posse reprazent.

My frames are black Gucci ones because I'm a virulent poser. I sure hope I never lose 'em, 'cause it took me about 30 hours shopping time to find a pair that didn't make me look like either Captain Emo or a neo-Nazi.
Shades are always Ray-Ban.

Karmen : you're auto-exempt from emo stigma by virtue of your +666 aerosol of harshosity. You could probably look hard wearing a Dashboard Confessional t-shirt.

Just to be safe, though, you might wanna accessorize with an AR-15.

hmmm.. maybe u should try another doctor for a second opinion?

i wear soft disposables... have astigmatism... and medium to minor allergic reactions to a few things (grass, pollen, animal fur) etc...

the contacts need to be a special weighted type, so that they sit properly... 'toric'... is what the style is called i believe...

i sometimes wear glasses... but prefer contacts...

^ i aparently have really bad astigmatism... my doc let me wear focus toric lenses (same as coxon), and they worked well. i don't trust myself with permi lenses though, they're better for the eyes, but they're more costly to replace if i loose one...
