Last time my sister & I drove to Richmond, VA to see Camera Obscura. It was a total of 6 hours round trip. I see from the touring schedule they'll be in Arlington, VA this time. I think I'll focus on seeing Belle and Sebastian with Yo La Tengo at Merriweather. That venue's much closer and it'll be outside.

I enjoy the drive (it's about 8 hours from Mpls to Chicago). We've done it before (to see Portishead most recently). Biggest hassle is finding someone to watch the kids for the couple days we'd be gone.
