Actually, I did. Got VIP backstage passes at the last minute. Decent show, not the best, but it had to do with the venue and the crowd.

Got to hang out backstage with Mates of State and drink lots of free Coors. Caught Gang of Four, and tried to talk the people I was with into sneaking back into Universal so I could go on The Simpsons Ride. No luck there.

I'm putting up some pics from the show on my Flickr later. Was gonna do a GR blog too, but maybe not now with Comicon madness still swarming.

Saw NIN for the first time live last night. Holy crap. That was what stadium rock should look and sound like. I really enjoyed the two transparent screens that were raised and lowered to give the band many different variations of their light and sound show. They also put together a set list that the audience would come to expect. Although I was hoping they'd include The Perfect Drug in that list, alas it wasn't part of the show.

Before that, I was at another part of town to see Fleet Foxes. Those guys can really replicate the harmonies heard on their EP and debut record. I highly recommend seeing them to listen to those sweet sweet vocals.

Man, this is my best opportunity to see the 'chunk. It took them a while to get back to Seattle...or get back together for that matter.
i can't make it up to seattle, but basically, anytime the chunk play anymore, just count your lucky stars. I make the trip anytime to see them, as I fear they don't have too much left in them

Lasttime I saw Superchunk was pretty rad, but I only like old stuff, and that gets played less and less....
