hey y'all

i'm a music maker but less electronics and more screams

this is a song from my band in high school's second 7"

THE FINDERS "the New Civil Rights" from the Split 7" with Swindle
http://www.slowgunrecords.com/mp3s/t...s_newcivil.mp3

This is the theme/title song from the band I was in 98-99 in Tokyo, EXCLAIM.
this 7" was originally released by Straight-Up Records in Sapporo but was rereleased by Deranged Records from Canada. The vocals are pretty buried....

EXCLAIM "Exclaim" from the "Keep Things Evolving Positively" EP [how's that for Japanese english?]
http://www.derangedrecords.com/mp3/exclaim/exclaim.mp3

I am currently in band called [DUDMAN] here in Tokyo. They have been around for 5 years or so, but I just joined 3-4 months ago. It's kinda a GAUZE-vibe I guess Trying to play as many shows as our we can and getting ready for recording in April.

this is all quite experimental / abstract

a mental news cut-up:

a brutal farting acid breakbeat monster:

http://erutufon.packts.net/erutufon-...27s%20down.mp3

a bit of tuff spanky electro-techno:

http://erutufon.packts.net/erutufon-...d%20spanky.mp3

i like it! is the band/group called "Mugford"?

that 'ankle deep in sewage' one reminds a little of Wobbly, a local SF guy you might like if you havent heard him already. his live shows are the thing to see..

nice stones sample

i think i like 'em best in this order:
1. ankle deep
2. spanky
3. mick's down

spanky has more of a cool groove i think than mics, but i love the sample/cut-up stuttering kinda stuff in ankle deep.

anyway, as i said, i thought they were all good, i just wanted to try and offer some kind of specific feedback.

a fun little diversion indeed - i like the sample at the front, what film is that from? it's different than your others for sure. sounds a little unfinished to me in the middle or something, perhaps...

did you make this with Muzys?

Thanks loads for the comments. Mugford is my name, I couldn't think of anything cool, so I've used that. You got a link for Wobbly?

it's from 'requiem for a dream'

yeah it def sounds a big departure from my other stuff... part of the reason was that it was made w/muzys and my new synth. i got some newer ill shit going at the moment with this gear... will put em up soon.

here's a link for Wobbly, i couldn't find a good one but a google search had a lot of reviews of shows and so on, kinda interesting. this is an album review that talks about his style a bit:

http://www.microsuoni.com/labels/tigerbeat6.html

site i found while looking for Wobbly, dedicated to recycled culture: http://detritus.net/

here's a link for some of my stuff, some of which is also kinda-sorta similar to yours. i have also helped out on most of the other songs on this site:

¤ ¤ ¤   mSlave(fx_mx1)   ¤ ¤ ¤

¤ ¤   this experimental/noise/samplingdialog-with-darkAmbient/industrial kinda treatment... er.. thing i have been working on the last few hours it's growing on me now.. but i can never describe these things well.   ¤ ¤

¤   if anyone who likes unusual stuff wants to give a listen and lemme know what you think, it's a 3.4mb mp3 (a little over two minutes) you can get here: mSlave(fx_mx1).   ¤

of course, this is strictly for non-commercial use, due to the flagrant and obvious sample involved - just for fun officer, honest!

hello. long time listener, first time caller, all that jazz.

my brother and i make awkward rock music under the name skinflowers, a lot of which ends up at http://www.skinflowers.com

a track called 'roadkill' in mp3 format
a track called 'next episode' in ogg format, for those of you that are into yr oggs ...

recently we put out a cd ... we wanted to package it as a sort of tribute to the toy packaging of our childhoods, with a dash of vector graphic arcade games thrown in for good measure. this is it ...

all the details on that cd and another photo at
http://alsobrave.skinflowers.com

hope some of you find it interesting

gary
