Ooooh... a GTI. Make sure you get the VR6!!! That was what I originally was planning to get (2000 GTI GLX) when I bought a car my senior year in college... but they were so far on backorder in Colorado when I was looking into it that I finally decided to check out the Audi dealership next door and buy a used 1998 Audi A4 1.8t Quattro (out of my savings and a loan).

My dream car: an Audi S4....

Oh, well... we can dream, right?

Just wait a little while, VW will be releasing the new GTI VR6 soon. If you can't wait, get the GTI 1.8T instead... Current VR6s just aren't worth the money in comparison to the 1.8T.

And if you're really lucky, see if you can find the Golf R32. It's SOOO good!

I'm too poor to get a better car. I'm driving a 93 Ford Taurus, not exactly a chick magnet. Maybe I'll rice it up

being in australia its very easy to get skylines here (because australia was one of the countries it originally launched in). so my uncle (who is a car dealer himself) has 2 skyline gts-t r33 and one r33 GTR, with a little over 300kW under bonnet.

he let me drive the GTR once which was a bad idea. i didnt crash it or anything, but i did go over the speed limit a bit so he hasnt let me driven since.

my dream car would be an aston db7 GT or a ford gt40
or import modded dream cars would be an rx7 a spirit r or a nice looking supra twin turbo.

i like to dribble on the ferrari 360 gt and my friends bmw m3 too

oh hell.. any car over 100k would be my dream car ^__^

http://www.supercars.net/cars/2002@$Ford@$GT40%20Conceptg.html the new concept ford gt40 models are soo nice

2001 volkswagen jetta wolfsburg edition
galactic blue
1.8 turbo
upsolute chip

i love german cars. especially vw's, audi's, and porsches

i recommend the awp 1.8t over the 12v vr6. its $1500 less. add a $350 chip, and you get 210hp vs. 174hp, plus you save 150 pounds of weight in the front end, which dramatically improves handling. i'd prolly choose the 1.8t over the new 201hp vr6 too, except that 6 speed tranny is oh sooo nice...

and that golf r32? what a fine piece of engineering. but it won't be in the states anytime soon, especially with a base price over $30k.

oh lordy. don't we already havea thread like this ?
i have :
2001 Subaru Impreza RS (like aaron!)
1988 Subaru Loyale (not running)
1985 Honda Shadow VT700 (not running)

considering buying an 83 starlet. blown heads. woot. haha.

as far as dream cars?
i dunno. i do alot of daydreaming about cars.
my friend has an ~450 HP S4 which is pretty dope. I'd want something exotic. r34 skyline, GC8 STi spec WRX conversion.
or something crazy.
the datsun 510 list had a brief thread discussing cramming an AWD drivetrain and motor (sunny GTi or RB26DETT [!!!]) into it. but i think that was just bench racing.
3rd gen rx7 motor into a 1gen rx-7 or a previous rotary car
silvia varietta with the sr20det (unf unf unf)
and since i've mentioned the SR20DET i'll have to make the obligatory
and of course the AE86 corolla as well.
early seventies el camino
pontiac GTO. oh hell fuck no.

and the list goes on.

beater cars i'd love?
subaru justy (man these care hard to find)
toyota starlet (these are even harder to find. i wasn't sure they sold them in the states until recently)
datsun 210

but you know.
i could really use a new pair of shoes...

the justy, 210, and starlet?
where do you live?

i never saw a justy or a starlet in my life until a month or two ago.

and i'm not looking for aftermarket support. If i wanted aftermarket support i'd get a honda or a domestic.

The justy would just be fun. cause i have mad love for the 'ru like that.
The starlet can have a motor swapped into it. or i can just run with the 65 HP fury underneath the hood.
and the 210? well i have a thing for datsuns in general, and the 210 just seems to be the easiest to acquire.
