i'm not sure how i feel about the GT-R concept. there's a thread about it somewhere but i don't feel like finding, and ryanating.

i'm sure the production will look much better than the concept?

The production model can be seen on TV. I saw the commercial last night. It's a 350Z with body work, AWD and some other doo-dads. Honestly, I really like it. It's SLICK. If I could afford one I'd rather have the Infinity than the Nissan. Not that I could afford either.

No, the Skyline will be the G35 Coupe.
http://www.infinitihelp.com/Infiniti...escription.htm

Incidentally, I just had a truly horrific realization. I mean genuinly bad. My first car was a 1986 or a 1985 Corolla coupe. Isn't that when they were still rear wheel drive? I trashed that car completely. It's somewhere in Sand Diego in a juk yard. Probably a brick by now. It was an automatic so I'm not too broken up about it, but still . . . What a shame.

I think I may have been some mis-information - that All Wheel Drive part may or may not be true. I was also told that there would be twin turbo coming. I was told this by someone who is quite the enthusiat, though I haven't verified for myself.

bobby is right. the new GT-R for 2005 looks like it's built on the 350Z chassis, but prob has an even MORE interesting engine.

really, why can't nissan release the s15 silvia stateside, unadulterated and with a 99+ spec sr20det.

Rest in peace RB26DETT

nothing intrinsically wrong with 4doors. but a coupe option would be nice.

http://www.freshalloy.com/site/cars/...ept/home.shtml

arch : freshalloy.com still lists the r35 GT-R as a concept. do you have another source that says otherwise? it has a lot to live up to if it's supposed to be the sucessor to the previous generation of skylines.
V8 ?
wtf. oh well. nothing official there. just conjecture.

i don't really consider the infiniti g35 a worthy sucessor until the GT-R specs are announced. There is no skyline without a GT-R. I consider myself a Nissan enthusiast, but i'd rather drop 50k Audi's way if that's nissan's offering in the performance luxury coupe market. and it kind of hurts to say that.

i'm still a little leery of renault over nissan. Being a performance oriented car company was bad for business. They had too many different platforms and too many different engines. Apaprently, the economics of a setup like that aren't too hot. I hope that Renault can bring Nissan to another golden age soon, with profitibility and performance in harmony.
But I'm not holding my breath.

where do you live that's a haven for cellout beaters?
Is your oldladyfriend still trying to sell her starlet ? It doesn't look like this guy is going to take me up on my more-than-reasonable offer.
*shakes fist*

oh yeah.
i want a renault le car, too. somebody find me one.
plz. plz. plz.

We need to find a car for arch. I've never met Marla and I think i hate her.

(who needs new tires very very soon)

I'm kinda ignorant when it comes to cars...

Does anyone know if the 2003 VW Jetta is any good? How reliable are VWs anyway?

Actually, I'm not down with 4doors in racing situation. More metal to haul around, longer overhangs (generally speaking) and a longer roofline. Like a Wagon, but not as bad. Theoretically a hatch-back is ideal (hence the Z), but coupe is a little more my taste.

I don't know how reliable these guys are, but:
http://www.jbskyline.net/V35/GTR/

I'm gonna have to ask my friend exactly where he heard about the GT-R. I'm inclined to belive that he had a real source and that it wasn't just specualtion on his part.

actually if it was an automatic, chances are your car was either a sr5, or one of those POS corollas that started FF.

the gt-s never came in automatic.

and id liek to have the 4 door r33 skyline. gt.
just to piss off all the dumbasses who think GT-R was the only skiline ever made. have u ever driven one? they arent exactly too "nimble". w/the exception of base models and the r32 gt-r, i coudl care less about them. (doesnt include hagoska, a31, and kenandmary)
