I had to sit in the back of a 97 Z28 all the way to San Fransisco. It was hell. On the way back I demanded that the dipshit take back seat. I got to drive it too. Man, those things have aquite a lot of get-up-and-go. Unfortunately, due to some GM engineering problems, a seal was blown on the way back and it had to be towed. It seems the rear bushing wasn't grounded at the factory. at 140 mph a lot of static electricity built up and POW. No more seal. It's not under warranty anymore either so it's all pocketbook. Glad it's not mine or I'd be pissed at GM.

i was rockin a 89 camaro with the 5.7L corvette engine for a while too. that shit was FAST! and now that i think of it, i did kinda have to "roll" out of it.

I have to roll out of Marla so it's not like I know any different.

Also, RCGator, I'm telling you, that new Sentra Special Edition is the money. That new Civic Si does not impress me.

yeah, i have heard many good things about the sentra. you can call me retarded, but the sentra name puts me off. i won't buy a sentra. Nissan really shouldn't have done away with the 240 line.

I agree for the most part, but double wish bone suspension (not the absence on the Civic equivalent) and better engine performance make me wonder what the fuck Honda was thinking. Nissan has really taken the bull by the balls lately as where Honda has really only maintained the status quo.

I used to be pro Honda, but Nissan has my attention. I'd like to see more rear wheel drive cars. Maybe Nissan will see the market for it and bring back the cheaper SX. I'm hoping they do, but like you I don't hold my breath. Maybe I'll email them or something. If they know people will buy it perhaps they'll do something about it.

my car plans:

this thread has had me lookin at cars all day. i've decided on a s14 240, an s15 sr20DET engine/tranny swap, Z brakes, and some kind of silvia kit. i figure, even with all the money i blow on aftermarket stuff, it's still cheaper than the G35 i want. and 250 hp/203 ft lbs torque mated to a 6spd is good enough for me, that's for damn sure. though this is all irrelevant until i move back to cali, and come up with the 20 grand.

20 grand? seems a bit steep.
my friend has a 240 with the SR swap. It took us forever to get everyhting wired.
We saw a nice 240 with 180SX taillights the other week. Those would be fly.
any particular reason for the s15 SR20DET ? as far as i know, they're all pretty much the same except for the turbo.

tmcm is in japan! pretty cars everwhere.

20 G is steep. but after rims/tires, the suspension upgrade, limited slip, carbon fiberizationing, etc etc. i'm guessing it'll come out to around there. the more i think about it, the more i realize i have to do.

i guess i picked the s15 sr20det because i've found engine swap kits with already mated to 6spds somewhere on the net today. and i'd rather skip that step. also i don't want to have to deal with installing a more powerful turbo if i can get a stock one already attached. i guess it depends on condition/price but. who knows. so far it's just an idea floating around in my head.

anyone know anything about finding the silvia VLSD's around?
