great to see everyone yesterday!

for those of you that could not make it, here are some highlights from iago/booter's "coming out" party:

- food did suck (sorry guys!)
- iago got into a spat with the table behind us that was playing with their cellphones
- booter needs to see a doctor about her hearing
- paean distributed free cd's (i got elvis, booter got christina and i forgot who took kenny g). for those of you that missed out, he will be bringing more to the xmas party.
- various topics of conversation included schizophrenic uncles, manpurses, ny's version of 'in and out' & korean cinema
- iago had to settle for a stella artois at the mona lisa cafe
- no food fights

all in all a great time!

what time do people want to meet at the moma on sat? i was thinking 2pm...

iago: here is a link to the 59 page wine list at veritas:

http://www.veritas-nyc.com/VERITAS.pdf

if you want to splurge, get the bordeaux red st.-emilion 1947 double magnum @ $35,000. that should make up for last night's fiasco at the mona lisa...

Sorry to be such a trainspotter but...

About that song playing in the cafe that I couldn't place, sure enough, as I was going to sleep that evening, it popped in my head. It was "Watermelon Man." It wasn't the Mongo Santamaria version. Maybe the original Herbie Hancock version or some other cover.

God, I'm such a dork.

I think I'd go just to sample the wines. Fuck the food.
yes, park b. smith is my bf's ex-boss. mr. smith owns a textile company down on 5th avenue which funds his wine collection and that's where my bf used to work. its definitely worth a trip for the wines, my french date was stunned. food was mediocre.

Neku, I don't know if you got my email but I think I should be able to make MOMA. Lunch is iffy right now as I'm just getting in and being the old fart that I am, I need my beauty sleep. In any case, give me a call late morning/noon.
