really good man!
the only thing i would say is ease up on your line for rendering, its gettin a little heavy around the darks and shadow cores. just slowly build up the value and it wont look broken up

thanks for the help. the bottom image is going to be a multiple session pose, and that is just from the first day. i should be able to work back into it and eliminate the harsh outline you mentioned. im going for something like the legs on this one:

the hip and thigh are really well rendered by pulling out the lights, thats cool. Using colored paper is awesome.

really cool JLS, is this part of a series. i think it would be really good looking in a grouping that grows through each iteration. like one bee, two beetles, three crickets, etc... each one getting its own page. really nice treatment of the kraft paper.

Thanks for the feedback sumtin. The original drawing was damaged from a flooded basement about 2 years ago. Fortunately, I had documented it, so I re-worked it recently with Photoshop. I like your idea, maybe a diagram showing heiarchy or symbiosis between species.
