I totally dig my Belkin KVM switch, mainly because it also switches microphone and speakers as well. It's the only one I found in my day of searching that did that.

their switch boxes work fine if you dont daisy chain em, or have to remotely reboot machines cus the machines have to be on that particulary channel, other wise the kvm doesnt trick the machine being rebooted into thinking a mouse and keyboard is present.

you figure you're paying a grand for each kvm, they could at least make the daisy chain feature work 100%

I like cybex digital kvm's those are sweet

i'm trying to install a game pad to my computer, i installed the driver and it shows up on device manager, but the game pad (a dual shock) does not work... when i try to add it too my game pad repertoire on control panel, it tells me to refer back to device manager, but the latter says that the driver has been installed...

what is going on?

maybe i'm asking the wrong question... could it be cause i haven't disabled the keyboard? when i go into kawaks and click on player config, the config is set to the keyboard... but there's no option for switching to a joystick... but then again, i don't know if you're supposed to do that from device manager before starting kawaks. this is the 1st time i've ever installed a gamepad on my computer so please understand the retardedness of my dilemma.

most emulators have an option to set up the gamepad. it's not a windows thing, it's an emulator thing. is it a USB gamepad? if yes, then that might be the problem. return it and get an old skool gamepad that hooks up to your serial port or game port.

micro$oft sidewinder gamepad, gameport version. works like gangbusters, and ain't to pricey to boot.

Where Did Everyone Go?
Firms are laying off workers even as business revives. That boosts profits — at the cost of morale
By LISA TAKEUCHI CULLEN

Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2002
When Winstar Radio Services laid off a third of its New York City staff, the surviving employees felt little relief. Not only had they lost cherished colleagues, but they were also struggling with added work — particularly that of the office manager, who was among those who got pink slips. Although the remaining workers at Winstar (since acquired and renamed Excelsior Radio Networks) resigned themselves to doing their own filing and photocopying, they overlooked one small but essential task. Says Christopher Stogdill, 32, an affiliate marketing manager: "We ran out of toilet paper."

Welcome to the workplace of the jobless recovery, where keeping your position means that your In box swells, your pay and benefits shrink, and bathroom amenities don't magically appear. In an office haunted by the ghosts of laid-off employees, those workers who dodged the hatchet aren't necessarily the lucky ones. They must excel at their old jobs to avoid still looming staff cuts and must also juggle extra, unfamiliar duties.<cont'd>

I'm in the same boat shoegaze.

I've got an aging PC currently running WinXP that I'm going to gut and rebuild.

Right now, I'm looking at a Shuttle P4 mobo. It's the one with an 8x AGP slot. I think it's the AS45GTR.
