Help!

If it's a laptop, maybe it's just not designed to pass much power to the headphone jack and thus giving you poor volume levels...

ok this is bugging me

my friend just got a dlink wireless g router

his bro is trying to cnnect with a linksys wireless g card for his laptop. hes running xp pro. now when i put the card in, it recognizes that there is a signal being picked up but when you try to connect to the internet it wont let you

i have a wireless b card and when i turn on my laptop, it connects no problem. i have xp home. any clue as to what might be going on? is there something perhaps i have to configure on the router itself?

the main computer that is on this router, the only one connected via ethernet is running win 2000..

why the hell doesn't my wi-fi work all the time? Sometimes my other computer can pick up the signal, sometimes not. The other computer is pretty far away. Is there any way of optimizing my broadcasting? Thanks

i guess they use a different terminology. wired networks have repeaters. linksys makes a signal booster. basically its going to help make the coverage stronger in the weak area.

its for the 802.11b network.
