video cards...i'm partial to ati. not necessarily the fastest (well, the 9700's are supposed to be the current 'speed demons'), but they work for me (running an aiw 8500 128).
if you're going with an lcd panel in the future they also have dvi-i outputs. i have a bad monitor next to me at work. it gives me a headache, so right now it acts as a part of my computer/monitor cubicle.

I had a similar issue, my network connection would drop if I let the mac sleep, and then wake it. I called applecare and they told me to turn off the sleep and leave it on screensaver. I was like WTF!?!??!?!

windvd, powerdvd, or ati dvd player coupled with dvd genie should allow you to capture frames from a dvd.

hey guys how much you think this laptop is worth
Toshiba Satellite 1405-S151 Notebook 1.2 GHz Intel Celeron 256 MB SDRAM 30 GB IDE Hard Disk CD-RW: DVD/CD-RW combo drive; Windows XP Home Edition 14.1 inch active-matrix display ive had this laptop since august. no problems. great desktop replacement. screen is a lil dusty but other than that,this thing is pretty much mint. have all of the paperwork and cds, no original box though. also comes with ac adapter. thats the ad for it that i placed for it a few days ago..ive been feenin for an ibook these days, i could stand for a change..
