^^^^I picked up 2 copies (since it was polybagged). Same formula as original Ultimate Spidey #1. Don't want to give too much away but origin is similar to Peter's.

If you ever wondered why Rob Liefeld's artwork looks the way it does, this clip explains a lot:

I've been following Dark Horse's Dollhouse: Epitaphs. It pretty much picks up on the Joss Whedon show's plot right where the TV series finale dropped off. We see Alpha seeing the error of his ways and is struggling to make amends. The Rossum Corporation seems to keep a step ahead of everyone else though as they mobilized everyone that's been imprinted to kill Echo and anyone else that gets in the way of Rossum's dominance over the general population.

The Onion delves into Fanboy's life and how unaware he is of his family.
Hysterical, yet possibly hits home for quite a bunch of folks.

Anybody read Kick Ass vol.2 #4 yet? WTF is Mark Millar playing at? I loved vol.1 and the movie but this was just nasty.

All-Star Superman just came out as a single volume trade paperback last Wednesday. I'm really enjoying the story written by Grant Morrison. The Frank Quitely art is fantastic to look at too. I only had to quit reading it last night because I had to get to bed and started on it too late in the evening.

Why does DC keep bringing Hawk and Dove back? These two characters have never been able to sustain fan interest for very long, yet every couple of years, DC throws them back into the spotlight with a new series or guest appearance.

I've caught up on the latest issues of Chew. Funny, gross, entertaining, and poses more questions about the world depicted in this comic by John Layman and Rob Guillory.
I also got a copies of Nonplayer #1, Red Wing 1-3, and Nightly News.

I'm liking the new IDW Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Eastman is writing, but Laird isn't on board with the project.

I finished Jason Shiga's Empire State and Jiro Taniguchi's A Zoo in Winter. I liked the non-linear story-telling Shiga used. Taniguchi's manga is filled with delicate and detailed work. Both reveal things about their young male protagonists in subtle ways.
I started Drops of God written by Tadashi Agi and illustrated by Shu Okimoto. It's a manga about wine which I know nothing about. But I'm finding the topic interesting and the writing includes a lot of information. The framework of the story is a competition to determine inheritance of a fabulous wine collection left by a famous wine critic. The competitors are the prodigal son of the famous wine critic and the current young "Prince of Wine" critic in Japan. So yeah, now I want to drink wine like Shizuku (prodigal son) though I won't be having any vivid reactions to wine like he does. Though his reactions are nothing on par to the outrageous reaction scenes in Yakitate Japan. But Drops like Yakitate makes you want to try the things (to certain extents) depicted in their respective pages.

Someone posted a graphic novel that had amazing art about a fantasy jungle world but it was actually some girl's virtual world. Anyone got the name of the title?
