I don't know how Rob Liefeld keeps drawing for a living - his work really is horrible.

Hahaha, that's awesome. I like his Grifter cover too. He can draw good.

Ham feet again and I think those things he is holding are guns but I am not sure where he is pointing them or what he is doing with them. At least you get fingers this time but no thumb. It's either/or with the Liefeld.

I was at the local comic book store last Saturday. I didn't even know he went back to drawing Youngblood again. *Eeewww*

Did he even break from drawing that book at all?

We go from one of the worst comic book artists of all time, to the passing of one of the greatest.

My cousin told me she met comic book artist Dave Mack of Kabuki fame. I googled him and saw he was caught tracing other artist's work! They even had pics of comic book panels comparing his work to the stuff he copied. Its some shady shit.

Just got into the new Jonathan Hickman series called Secret. He's working on this one with Ryan Bodenheim. It's about a corporate security consulting firm that's actually causing the trouble that they aim to avoid for their clients.

Lately most of my reading is comics and manga. I've been wondering if it's because I don't have the patience for reading novels. While the visuals and text working in tandem have a more immediate pull.

I went through all the TBPs of Batman and Robin (Grant Morrison) that the public library had available. Also Batman: Year One and The Return of Bruce Wayne. Though I'm not much of a superheroes reader, I really liked these. I just finished The Saga of Swamp Thing book one. This is when Alan Moore is writing with art by John Totleben & Stephen Bissette and colors by Tatjana Wood. I started The Stuff of Legend Book 2: The Jungle, story by Mike Raicht & Brian Smith and art by Charles Paul Wilson III. It's set during WWII (1944) & the story is a boy from Brooklyn gets kidnapped by the Bogeyman. His toys plus his puppy go to rescue him.

On the sci fi manga front, I finished Twin Spica (Futatsu no Supika) by Kou Yaginuma. Vertical published the English translation. The protagonist is Asumi who dreams of piloting a rocket ship. She applies and gets accepted to the Tokyo Space School. It's a coming-of-age story set in the near future.

Finally got to read Eden: It's an Endless World vol. 13 by Hiroki Endo. Also set in the near future where nations have collapsed & a mysterious disease ravages the population. Lots of violence, gore, sex & drugs.

Also finished Blade of the Immortal vol. 23 which renewed my love for this series and it's anachronistic characters. Magatsu is my favorite member of the Ittou Ryu while Shira is the one who creeps me out the most.

Oh, I haven't read my copy yet but volume 2 of Katsuya Terada's The Monkey King is out now.

I do try to edit my fan babble.

I used to follow Blade of The Immortal in the 90s. The narrative backstory must be so huge now to jump back in.
