It's about Woody's Allen's continuing bad track record.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0378947/

I stopped watching it after I realized the comedic version of the story wasn't funny at all. And the part where Melinda confesses to killing her husband during the tragedy portion of the story was not believable.
are you serious? thats one of the few woody allen films I've enjoyed. I liked the movie alot. you should watch the whole thing, maybe you'll like it more.... or less

I liked Melinda and Melinda too. I also liked Match Point but didn't like Scoop.

I thought Small Time Crooks was funny.

Ultimately, I watch Woody Allen movies to laugh. I wasn't into this movie because I didn't find the comedic version of the story funny, mostly because I didn't like actress's comedic timing. I also found parts of both stories to be unbelievable.

In the end, I guess another big reason I didn't like the film was because I didn't care about either version of Melinda.

fair enough, I've never really found his films funny. I guess that's what my problem is. I enjoyed the serious side of the film more. I found melinda's neurotic side more interesting. the comedic side was ok, watchable.

I'm kind of the same way with Coen Brothers movies. Despite the greatness of "Raising Arizona" and "The Big Lobowski," I tend to prefer their crime noir-type films. Not that their comedies aren't good ("The Ladykillers" and "O Brother," for example, were pretty funny, while "Intolerable Cruelty" was the only one they've ever done that I actually turned off), but, in my eyes, their crime noir/drama/thrillers are much better.

Both awesome.

Which raises another point: most Coen Bros. movies have some very subtle comedy in them. This is good.

I think I prefer Fargo over Barton Fink.
