don't yard sale it. ebay it. you're guaranteed to get something better for it. probably around 20 bucks or more. i know that's not great considering what you probably paid for it originally, but you'll get more back at least.

then again i should talk because i shelled out almost 30 bucks for the new 3 disc version of seven samurai on ebay....

I got it for 5 dolla from a co-worker. before the reissues came out he was looking to get rid of his old criterions. I should've nabbed some of his other kurosawa criterions cuz he was selling those for 5 bux a pop as well.

looks like even for the first edition, you're guaranteed at least your 5 bucks back, plus whatever you mark up for shipping. i dunno how wide the distro was for that edition, but i'd imagine the criterion collectors would want that. wasn't it one of the early releases?

if it's the white cover with all the dudes on the lookout, it's the old one. the new one is a 3 disc set in a black cardstock slipcover with kanji on the front. i think the old one is just in a "regular" 2-disc dvd snapcase.

Benjamin Button got the Criterion treatment. Not sure if I want to add that in the list to pick up being as I hadn't ever seen the movie.

Super curious about the Last Days Of Disco treatment. I'm looking forward to that one.

Last Days of Disco has been unavailable for quite some time. I can't wait to get my hands on that.
