how do you like this phone? i think i need a new phone and this one seems to fit the bill perfectly. all i want from a phone is that it's small and has a speakerphone, i've always liked panasonic phones for those reasons. where did you get it from? it's pretty expensive when you buy it directly, without any rebates....... -_-;

also i'm thinking about getting a different plan. i'm spliting my time between LA and OC. i use few anytime minutes, and don't roam about at all. most of my phone usage is me talking on the phone at night. what's a good plan? i might stick with at&t, which hasn't treated me too bad so far. right now i have the non-gsm plan...

oh yeah, any good deals in socal? i know you can get some killer rebates and stuff from those asian back-of-the-van places around the san gabriel valley.

i didn't see it in this weeks ad, but last week and in the past bestbuy has had the motorola v600 + bluetooth headset with new sign-up with cingular for $99 after rebates.

I'm currently in the possession of an LG L1150. It's a temporary test phone because we're thinking of switching to a GSM/GPRS service (we're currently on ATTWS's national TDMA service).

Cute phone. Built-in camera. IM, web, etc.

Man, I don't know if infrared would be any better. I ended up emailing the picture I took to myself. SpamAssassin on our mailserver tagged the message as SPAM. Ha!

There are two problems I tend to have with flip phones (and why I haven't gone to one yet):

1. That stubby antenna. Can easily get broken off in my pocket (where I usually carry my cell. phone).

2. If you answer a call with the phone flipped open, you can't continue conversation while closing the phone.

It's why I still carry my Nokia 86xx. If our company switches over to ATTWS (soon to be Cingular) mLife (GSM/GPRS) service, the phone I'd probably shoot for is one of the nicer Sony Ericsson phones. Or that new motorola V3 or MPX(?) if either are out by the time we switch services.

ok...the main thing about this phone is that its so FREAKIN SMALL. it was nice at first but it just became annoying. hence thanks to the wonders of craigslist im getting rid of it.

im in the market for a new phone now..im considering the nec 525..

hey guys.. im not sure if this was addressed before but is it possible to use motorola flip phones with a hands free set while it is closed?

im looking at the v180 and v220

I think I was talking about that with someone in that "mobile tech" thread.

My understanding is if you can set the phone so you can answer an incoming call by pressing ANY button, then you should be able to use the hands-free while it is closed.

While it was not a Moto flip phone, an LG phone I had briefly allowed you to do that. However, it would not allow you to answer a call and then flip the phone shut without hanging up on the call. Not sure if the Motos are similar in that regard or not.

You may be able to download the user manual for either of those phones from Motorola. You could find out for sure that way.

v220 is jankety dude, resolution is crap compared to a v400/600. The screen quality is just like the old c350g http://www.min4.com/image/review/mot...c350_01_xl.jpg
