I like it so much that I sold the G-Shock to my co-worker.

Hublot Big Bang Black Caviar

The facets are eye catching! The price will give you a heart attack!

http://www.highsnobiety.com/news/201...-black-caviar/

“Made entirely from ceramic (the ideal material for a watch: 30% lighter than steel, 100% scratchproof, 100% anti-allergenic, 100% unalterable and rust-proof), including the crown and dial (which is a first for Hublot), the Big Bang Black Caviar sports a unique design directly inspired by the famous One Million $ Black Caviar. Bedecked in uniform shades of black under the concept of “invisible visibility”, and with its reliefs designed, cut, bevelled and polished like the baguette black diamonds of its big sister, it comes in a diameter of 41 mm and is equipped with the automatic mechanical movement HUB1112. This watch features a date window at 3 o’clock and is mounted on a brilliant black “glossy” alligator strap stitched on black rubber, as always with Hublot, to provide exceptional comfort, flexibility and robustness. 42-hour power reserve, and water resistant to 10 bar (100 meters). “

Wait a minute! There's a new Appleseed movie coming out?

Oh, yeah, the watch looks nice too. Autumn of 2011, huh?

In other watch news, I've ordered a Luminox 3051.BO (Blackout) from Princeton Watches. It's backordered unfortunately, so I may not see it until later this month. I really wanted the Luminox SR-71 Blackbird watch until I saw that they were over $1K. Out of my current price range unfortunately.

Here's a shot of it with the lume active:

Got an unexpected email from UPS today with a tracking number for the above watch. Unexpected because I had assumed I would get an email from Princeton saying that they got their stock back in and were processing my order.

Not a big deal. Definitely not complaining. I got free overnight shipping as part of my original order so I should hopefully see the watch tomorrow.

so, columbia watches are evidently crap because mine has stopped working already.

sent it in for repairs and they 'don't have parts in stock' for it.

the watch is still for sale on the columbia website, wtf?

Loving my Luminox. Super light. Lighter than my titanium Eco-Drive.

That's a bummer. Should have kept that G-Shock, no?

g-shock doesn't really fit my arm. flares out weird on the sides. my forearm is kinda square.

also, the g-shock didn't have any functions that i would actually use other than the alarm.

trying to find something with interval timers and not necessarily GPS, but a compass would be nice.

I wouldn't be surprised if Timex or Casio makes a watch with the features you're looking for. Any particular reason you went with the Columbia to begin with?
