the motorcycle thread...

so, eventually, i'm gunning on getting a motorcyle....since it's a fairly *big* thing (last thing you want is to be stuck with a suck), i'm doing my research now.

i'm not sure if i'm feeling the tron imports, and a chopper is out of my price range.

for now i'm fingering this:



i dig naked bikes, and to quite honest...to me, it looks like something fonzi would rock.

fonzi had a different type of bike. more of a sit-up instead of lean-over kind.

ducati's aren't cheap. how much do you want to spend?

monsters are a bit more affordable of the lot, and the engine output doesn't measure up to similar bikes, but for me, that's a plus. i'm not trying to go fast-fast....but i do put a premium on handling.

i've seen them for >7G's.....

and while i'm not looking to replace my car, i'm also *not* looking for a (freeway) legal scooter.

i saw some price for 13,500 on one of the monsters. maybe different monster models vary that much in price. ??

My co-worker is willing to sell me his bike for 2900.00 It's a 2001 CBR600 w/9K on it.







Thoughts? Too good to pass on this? Nothing's wrong w/it, it's pretty much a friend price and he's over having a bike.
