Well, I have seen him ride it to and from work 03480234 (actually, he's only clocked 300m on it since October, when he bought the bike) times and considering I see him 40 hours a week I doubt he's gonna fuck me. Gus is getting a bike!! Hmm, this would be a good time to learn how to ride.

Thoughts? Too good to pass on this? Nothing's wrong w/it, it's pretty much a friend price and he's over having a bike.
that's not a bad price. if you change your mind, ask your friend if he'd be willing to sell it to me. for the same price, that is.

That's def a great price. You could even turn around and sell it for a $1000 more. If I had the beans, I'd do it. That's also a great bike by the way.

a friend of mine just picked up a 50 cc aprilia. i dont know the model number..anyway he bought it from this fairly well known racer.. Shaun *insert last name*

from what my friend says, since its a 50 cc, you dont need a license, but at the same time its street legal..? which is kind of moot since they upped the displacement to around 70 or so now.. anyway, its a neat littlething, dunno if id ride on the street with it..

i think most states have laws that specify 50cc as the limit where you don't need a motorcycle license. 50cc and below is considered a moped or small scooter category.

some states will require a moped license which is easier to get than a motorcycle license.

Well, I've had the bike since Sunday morning and I have to say it really is something else to ride. Drove around a couple of hours behind the building when I work until the battery went and died on me. Went to a couple of AutoZone locations until I ended up at a bike shop where I bought an OEM battery. $120 bucks! Anyway, I've only been and second gear and have only gone 40 MPH so far. Needs tags, so she won't be on the street until I register it. I need to pick up an FSM for it, I'm sure it needs an oil change. You guys know of any sites where I can score tires for a decent price? It needs a new front tire too, rear is still fresh.

MLL, how tall are you? i'm 5'7" and i have problems touching the ground on most sport bikes. i can barely tip toe when i'm wearing my skate shoes.

as for tires, i don't know what to recommend. you can go to a Honda dealer and see how much they want. or you can try Chapparal or Bert's or Puente Hills Motorsports.

I'm 5'6"!! If I center the bike w/myself on it only the front of my soles touch the ground. There's a spanner wrench in the tools that came w/the bike, I'm wondering if it lowers the seat a bit. I'm bidding on an FSM, so hopefully that goes through and I'll figure out how to get my feet fully planted on the ground. It's gonna suck If I'm in traffic w/my tippy-toes on the ground.

I believe it's adjustable between 3/4' to 1"... doesn't sound like much but it will make a difference. You can also buy thinner seats or have yours modified. Just remember you sacrifice comfort when going thinner.
