I'm running Mac 10.5.8 on a 2.66 quad core Power Mac and the gif's in the Random Pic thread just fucks up Safari every single time. Why?!

Because it's Safari? I don't know. Have you considered using a different browser?

it's fucking me up too. both on the pc, the iphone, the mac and also in firefox and safari.

I can't connect the powerbook to hotel wifi. It SAYS its connected, but i can 't view any pages. Yesterday it was fine, asked for user name ad password, i entered it and it was working. Today it doesnt ask for user or password, in the upper right it says its connected to the wifi and theres no lock next to it. No internet.

When i had a similar problem with my iPhone, hitting "forget this network" gave me a fresh start and solved the problem. I tried approximating that in system preferences but so far nothing works. Tips?

ask the hotel staff. maybe the wifi router is disconnected.

Its showing full bars. And my iphone is connecting. The hotel staff were clueless.

So I finally got it to work. I tried signing into another network that I knew I could never get into to, typed in some gibberish for the password, hoping it would somehow make the hotel's WIFI treat me like a stranger the next time I clicked on it and ask for a login. Sure enough, I saw the hotel wifi login page briefly appear. Briefly. I tried it again, and again the login page appeared for a second before disappearing. I turned off "block up pop up windows" and tab dah, it stayed up this time, I put in the information I was given, and now internet works.

Not positive, but I don't think they have porn available on their TV. There are massage parlors and ping pong shows up the wazoo outside, but they're very prudish in other ways.

So i got international data and 200 international texts from AT&T, aka the shittiest company in the world.

How does this shit correspond to my iPhone settings? Like "enable 3g?" And Airplane. And cellular data and data roaming?

I don't want to put it on Airplane mode for most of the day so I don't receive a call and get hit by a massive international call charge. I want to be able to turn on data for using the map or checking something online or to use Facebook messenger. But I'm assuming 300 megs will run out fast if I have one of these settings on all the time? Which setting though?

I'm confused. Could I have gotten 200 international texts without paying for international data? That doesn't seem possible yet they're two separate options.

Argghhhhhhh! There are four of us staying in two different resorts and we have no phone!
