No, they mainly stay in their (large) cage - when I'm home, they can come out on their own, but their wings are clipped to protect them from sudden collisions with hard objects. A lot of the time they ride around on my shoulders, arrrr....

I suppose you could be allergic - cockatiels produce a lot of dander. As for pooping, well, when you gotta go...it's easy to clean up.

phew, all that would be too much for my schedule...I get guilty thinking the current crew doesn't get enough attention as it is.
