I do not like that answer.

I also don't like the $100 new seatpost answer.

You can get them for $80.

The larger frame seems like the better solution because a longer seatpost would place your hands super low compared to your hips. That'd be uncomfortable on rides longer than a few miles. Actually, I think getting a new frame & fork and then transfering parts from the smaller frame to the larger is kinda fun. But then I like building and tinkering with my bikes.

i'm about to do that very thing, archo.

just waiting for a call from the bike shop.

i ordered the frame on Friday.

performancebike.com has an Access XCL Comp frame marked down to $99, KL.

I just bought the last 22" in black. they have blue and red left.

Nah, their biggest is smaller than my current frame.
It's just as well, I don't see me xfering all my shit onto another frame.
I might try that longer seatpost. I really don't need that much more room to get my leg a little closer to being straight when I'm at the lowest point on my pedaling

what size frame do you have? that frame i posted is a mountain frame, so probably not at all what you're looking for. i didn't think about that.

Pretty sure I've got a 62, it's the biggest Kona produces, if I'm not mistaken.

I know there's 64 road bike frames out there. But I don't see one withstanding the pounding I offer.

What's so amazing about it?

just the size of it is what i was referring to.

it's the first bike that i've owned where i can really stretch out and feel comfortable and uncramped.

your 62cm is plenty big.

i doubt the 2cm extra would make much of a difference.

just ordered a set of Continental Attack/Force clinchers.

they sound incredible and should be better performers than the generic slicks that came on my bike standard.
