I blame Apple for the Photoshop reflection craze.

Worse than drop shadows!

^Yes. G-d I can't stand it. We've had a number of creatives ask for stuff like this, and we want to pull pull pull our hair out.

you guys must have a different concept of what a disaster is.

Whether those pictures were done right brilliantly, or if they are all jacked up when they made it to print, NOBODY CARES. Stop living in a nerd bubble.

Yeah, you guys need to have a suspension of disbelief. Afterall, they're just selling products here. Who cares if the hot blonde is walking around with Thing on her shoulder?

I take that your creative director thinks that he/she is SOMEBODY, and what he/she cares about has any significance in any context.

I get embarrassed if my work is wrong and millions of people see it. That's enough motivation for me.

I suppose if a job's not worth doing, it's not worth doing well...

my creative director is the same but she cares about smaller things like which side of the building has fewer mexicans.

the point is that the millions of people who are seeing it don't care, and are not basing their decision of whether to buy that flower-print blouse or that issue of Cosmo or that used car on whether somebody cleaned up their Photochop comp properly.

Not every profession needs to be changing the world, but that don't mean that it's not worth doing. In balance, there are some jobs that when done poorly, amounts to no big deal.

Who cares? As long as I understand it.

A Plan for the Improvement of English Spelling
by Mark Twain

For example, in Year 1 that useless letter "c" would be dropped
to be replased either by "k" or "s", and likewise "x" would no longer
be part of the alphabet. The only kase in which "c" would be retained
would be the "ch" formation, which will be dealt with later. Year 2
might reform "w" spelling, so that "which" and "one" would take the
same konsonant, wile Year 3 might well abolish "y" replasing it with
"i" and Iear 4 might fiks the "g/j" anomali wonse and for all.
Jenerally, then, the improvement would kontinue iear bai iear
with Iear 5 doing awai with useless double konsonants, and Iears 6-12
or so modifaiing vowlz and the rimeining voist and unvoist konsonants.
Bai Iear 15 or sou, it wud fainali bi posibl tu meik ius ov thi
ridandant letez "c", "y" and "x" -- bai now jast a memori in the maindz
ov ould doderez -- tu riplais "ch", "sh", and "th" rispektivli.
Fainali, xen, aafte sam 20 iers ov orxogrefkl riform, wi wud
hev a lojikl, kohirnt speling in ius xrewawt xe Ingliy-spiking werld.
