I'll cop to it. The previews made the program look like "Dynasty Jr," and that's true to a certain extent. The fact that the show is based on a series of young adult novels didn't do much to pique my interest, either. However, the executive producers (Stephanie Savage and Josh Schwartz) cut their teeth on "The O.C.," so I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt.
I'm glad that I did. It's like "The O.C." without Ryan Atwood, which isn't so bad; and like "The O.C.," you watch the show mainly for the supporting cast, not the bland protagonists. If I had one complaint, the adult characters really aren't as developed in this show as they were in "The O.C." There really isn't an equivalent to Julie Cooper or the Cohens on "Gossip Girl." Last night's episode was the best one so far. Total drama-rama. |

From the sounds of it, I would imagine it has a cast of eighteen year old rich girls, who I wouldn't mind fucking.

I'm currently on episode 62 via Netflix.
I. Can't. Stop. Watching. It. Not at all what I thought it would be. Aside from the typical spoiled rich kid schtick, there's some pretty cool guy moments that dudes can appreciate. And Chuck Bass is my hero.
