about the circumcision thing,

my friend just had a son and they decided to not have him circumcised.

WTF?

his reason was because removing the foreskin robs the boy of some percentage of sensation.

like a penis's sensitivity is something you can't have too much of.

i mean, it's not like a circumcised penis is numb.

not by ANY means...

i was just really shocked because it just seems so strange to decide to not have him snipped.

i'm afraid i wasn't very good at hiding my shock and amazement either.

Getting the foreskin cut isn't necessary, I think people do it more as a cultural thing, cuz biologically it serves a purpose (whatever it might be).

Im a little weirded out by the fact that they are so concerned about their newborn son maybe not enjoying future sexual encounters as much as he could.

like he's even going to care, "if only I wasn't circumcised, I'd be enjoying this more!"... riiiight... his dad must have a very small penis.

Having seen two babies get circumcised, it is out of the question for me. It's some fucking gruesome shit. God is going to have to find something else to keep him happy.

The only religion I know where it's important is jewish, that becomes a whole ceramony and gathering.

Nothing as akward as baby cutting followed by a meal.....I've been to two, couldn't watch.

Aside from preference in look, doesn't it also provide some health benefits? I dont know persay, not my area.

I don't think the catholic church is pro-circumcision. Catholic europe is largely un-circumcised.

I suppose being uncircumcised would make you able to run in wet boxers without chafing to all hell but I still think it looks weird (although looking at my circumcised junk every day of my life probably makes me biased).

As far as the sex/sensation thing I've read a few accounts of men who have had later life circumcision who have all said it made no appreciable difference.

well, do any guys here who have been circumcised remember having that procedure done? and on the STD/cleaning thing. I think there were medical studies done. but who knows how true those things are anyways.
