senior WH staff pay freeze was interesting, even if it seems mostly symbolic.

i think i only have one big demand of him, war crimes trials. the way things are looking the UN may have a shot with or without us. america needs to confront this on the worlds stage.

i predict everyone except obama will underestimate the republicans and how far they are willing to go into shrewd longterm tactics to take O down. last eight years should be evidence enough what their idle hands can cook up.

well, it IS something of a miracle that one of obama's promises went into effect with such expediency. dude's getting down to business, and though there will be the inevitable months (if not years) of appeals from government officials and military brass arguing for the need to detain people without a warrant or cause, the fact that obama's taking the first step to repairing our country's image in the world speaks volumes for his determination and initiative. shame that the gitmo shutdown's pretty much an empty symbol.

it HAS to be childish, because the audience has the intelligence of a 7-yr-old.

It is another example of my point that predictions are the preferred ways to 'engage in political discourse' for those who has no ability or interest in examining the factual information and consider plausible ways to affect the outcomes. They prefer to make predictions in which the outcome can only be either "I told you so" or "He avoided disaster because I warned him with my prediction", it's a win-win for the mentally and logically weak.

Places that already have "-burg" at the end of their names will remain untouched.
