i like pinks. but not enough to wait in line.

theres a spot that makes them dog boner joints. not to be confused with "boner dogs" which is what i call that hunk of pressed meat on a swivel spit. dog boners are those hot pink hawaiian weiner jobs. anyways, its a teriyaki dog boner, kewpie mayo, and grilled sweet maui onions. i think its like maybe 2.50 at this spot called bachans teriyaki. not sure if its still open cuz i havent been in a while but its in rosemead on potrero grande and like del mar.

also

its nasty. i had to eat one. had to. unfortunately i got the fish flavor one which is kinda just like kamaboko but it freaked me out to be eating a fish flavored weinershape.

danger dogs have always been illegal, but laws can't stop the bacon, man.

Have you been inside PDT (Please don't tell) the speakeasy next to Crif Dogs?

They have the celebrity chef hot dogs. Wylie Dufresne's (of WD-50) has an absolutely decadent hot dog there.

Remember when Shake Shack was literally just a hot dog cart? They still make excellent NY or Chicago style dogs with authentic Vienna Beef franks from Chi-town. Almost, but not quite worth the 2 hour wait.

I have not yet tried this crazy and quite frankly bizarrely named Korean hot dog joint which I can't stop laughing at...

New York Hot Dog & Coffee
http://www.yelp.com/biz/new-york-hot...offee-new-york

It's hard to tell what the weirdest part of the place is. The Korean influenced hot dogs, the waffles, and the strange appearance of "flagels" are all in the running. There is also the wall, which has some pretty... uh... large photos of people enjoying hot dogs. Or, maybe it's just how strangely attracted we are to the whole operation.

Bulgogi dog

When I was doing my cooking demo at the casino they were trying out a new idea, hot dog fries. They thinly sliced hot dogs, dipped them in batter and coated them in corn meal(so they didn't stick together too much) and deep fried them. It was like weird corn dogs but very tasty. It'd seem like something you'd get at a fair or fast food place, but it was good all the same. I may try making them at home.
