I'll be in a swell window seat in a set of three (coach) in about 6 hours.

I've learned after a while to ask for an aisle seat in during long flights, whether it's domestic or international. I'm the guy that doesn't want to be a bother to someone else sitting in the same row when I need to hit the bathroom.

Either way, I try to get my elbow on the shared armrest as quick as I can. Once you slip off, you never get it back. It's like psychological warfare with the person sitting next to you.

One of the worst meals I ever had was not surprisingly on an airplane. I flew from Beijing to Shanghai on a local airline (Chinese Domestic Market tyte, yo), and they served me this soggy bun that had a lump of wet cucumber inside of it. No seasoning.

The airline's magazine had big article about how beautiful their flight attendants are.

Worst international flight I ever had was a run from Taipei to Seattle in the mid-1990's. When I was at Chang Kai Shek memorial airport, I was accosted by a rude security guard who wanted me to open my carry-on to check out the contents of my cassette tapes. I didn't even know what she wanted me to do since I spoke no Chinese and she looked increasingly incensed at the matter. Then I boarded the plane where the seat I was located at was the first row right behind the solid partition between coach and business class. I'm a short guy and still my knees touched the partition, so there wasn't any leg room at all. To add to that, I sat beside a mom with an infant that couldn't stop crying throughout the flight.

Needless to say that was my worst flight ever.

Well it was two plates of freshly prepared cheese and fruit . blue, Brie, and gouda with dried fruit, nuts, walnut brown bread, and then there is a separate plate of fruit . watermelon, cantaloupe, dragonfruit, and grapes . very fresh….
Huge piece of delicious tiramisu cake . it will be perfect if there is a bit more liqeur . I guess it dried up in the sky anyway.

Not really. The big "don't you dare ask me for anything" scowl took away a few points.

I wish I could get a simple answer to the question as to whether British Airways uses a standard headphone plug, or some kinda fancy double-plug.

Man, less than two weeks until I fly out. Fuck.

Wow! That first dish with the giant prawn looks delicious. This is Asiana? That's the same airline my mom took to Korea. I think my mom probably had the Royal Cuisine Bibimbap.

I went to that airline food website and noticed that Singapore Airlines has the most wins for the best food (So far, the food photos for Singapore Airlines look really good). Don't they also carry the reputation of having the best looking flight attendants?

Hands down Singapore Airlines has the best food and service if you're flying business or first class to Asia. Champagne service is always nice. When I fly economy to Hong Kong, I usually try to catch a Cathay Pacific flight. The meals are generally above average. I should try flying first class one of these days...

I've flown Air France both coach and first. The first class meals are like lotto prizes when the 3rd and 4th winning prizes are dramatically steeply different.

American domestic flights are a disaster. And Swissair, once a well regarded airline was reduced to asking us to pay for water and sandwiches when they went bankrupt during the period I was traveling. I've heard they're back from the dead... but they were definitely a first in that now common practice of depriving you of meals...
