Interestingly, it's set in Spokane, but they're filming it in Detroit.

it's kinda funny how this movie is basically the situation in iraq and afghanistan now. what would you do in the presence of an invading army who arrived ostensibly to "help you?" would you say, "oh okay." or would you question their right to impose their authority on you? hmm...

Instead of Tea Parties it's going to be Wolverine parties.

And yes some crazy person out there is going to think its real and look at Asian Americans (cuz we all look like alike...even if we hate china more than you do) as those bad guys from the movie.

But I'm not going to protest or anything. I still think it will be fun and I'll probably watch it. I was a fan of the original.

If they had balls they should have a scene that alludes to the tiananmen square protestor that got run over by a tank. (maybe in the movie a relative of a resistance fighter protesting the war could confront a tank).

but it might offend someone so they probably won't.

I also don't get the overuse of the August 1 star. I know it's a PLA symbol, but why is it also in nearly every piece of propaganda?

I think the movie Amerika had a Soviet hammer and sickle in place of the 50 stars in the stars and stripes. That was better.
