Christopher Nolan has revealed two things about the third Batman movie under his direction:

1) The title - see this thread's title if you didn't quite clue in
2) It will not have the Riddler as the movie's villain; whether or not the Riddler comes in as a secondary character is unknown

They are auditioning for a women's role 20's- 30's. Most people are speculating Catwoman, but Nolan has rebuffed that idea earlier in the year.

I don't think a Batgirl is likely (but you never know), perhaps an adaptation of the Huntress? Might happen, a fellow vigilante who goes around offing people, which is a big no-no to Bats.

I'm guessing Gordon's woman only cause it would follow suit with the long Halloween or Ivy just because she's so easy to recognize.

I think the ventriloquist and scar face would fit in real well with the world that Nolan has built around this new Batman just cause when I would watch those episodes before, they would feel so much...darker. More so than any episode with two face or the joker. And Nolan's depiction is indeed a 'darker' one.

i don't think scarface/ventriloquist would be a good bad guy for the movie. the split personality idea is kinda cool, but could you deal with 2+ hours of batman fighting some dude with a talking dummy?

the only thing i remember from the cartoon is when scarface "died" by getting all shot up into pieces, and that's how they "cured" the ventriloquist. he finally "let go" of scarface, at least in that episode. it was actually really sad, dude was crying over his "dead" friend.

i'd like to see Nolan somehow work Hush into the movies. Hush combines the deviousness and mindgames aspect of a joker/riddler, with the action scene aspects that would make people want to see it.

this could also be complete bullshit, but i've heard deadshot could make an appearance in the movie. probably not a good idea though, it's too close to bullseye in the daredevil movie. blugh.
