What? That I would pirate this movie and encourage people to do the same? Dude, I haven't paid for any type of media in 6 years. I've got 6 terabytes of 1080p movies and TV shows, 2 terabytes of comic books, and 1 terabyte of tunes in FLAC. Paying for media is for chumps, IMHO. Join the Dark Side, bro.

I mean, why would I want to pay $21 for some IMAX flick, when I can be comfortable at home 94 inches away from my 60-inch backlit LED screen, with my popcorn and double IPA in my hand? Why would I want to be in a crowded theater with a bunch of people I don't know, I don't like, and who make me want to vomit in my mouth because I think they are all idiots?
Well your argument is invalid unless you've built a dedicated home theater room from the ground up. I'm sorry but as dope as your setup is, it's nowhere close to being a fraction of an IMAX experience. I can see the annoying kids part so that's where I would say take in a afternoon time. But after seeing a movie like Prometheus in IMAX, that can't be recreated at home on a basic big tv setup. As far as the media that's cool do your thing I won't knock people for taking advantage of readily available media. I'm just saying pay it back sometime becasue that free stream won't continue forever.

Originally it was supposed to be the Riddler. WB wanted the Leo DiCaprio to play him but it didn't happen, Nolan/Goyer had other plans. But if you take a look at the Nolan-verse and the realistic Batworld he has created, who among Batman's Rogue's gallery is a feasible real character? Riddler could beut a guy that leaves riddles? He'd have to be completely altered and made into a super hacker of some sort. Poison Ivy? A lady that controls plants? Everyone that is his enemy is in one way or another campy and would not make sense for "this" Batman. Nolan took the comic book out of this comic book movie. Even Two-Face was a bit of a stretch and campy at the end of TDK. Like where did he all of a sudden get that fancy split suit? Bane was maybe not the greatest choice but a real good one because of how he did in fact end the dark knight for a brief time.

In what significant way has the outcome of those events trickled down into the Bat titles today? Has it made Bruce more aware of his mortality? Does he go to physical therapy every Wednesday? Does he have nightmares of Bane?

But see, Bane didn't kill the Batman. He just broke his back. If he was smart, he would have broke his fucking neck.
Well you're being a bit cynical here and forgetting after all these are comics. You can't kill a hero, or you'd have no comic franchise left or have to resort to some gimmicky thing like the multiple Supermans. My point was Bane presented a force unlike anything Batman had faced at a time. Someone who although a slight unhinged at the mind, was in a sense Batman's intellectual counterpart and definitely his physical superior. Beating a man mentally then breaking him physically in fact does more than if you just kill him. It's why superheroes protect loved ones. Villains go after that which wil affect a hero more. Taking being Batman away from Bruce Wayne and destroying his city was like 1000 daily deaths.

No they were but remember their numbers were diminished, Bruce was the top of his class and he was in his prime. Bane is a force who is not only psychotic but physically more powerful than Batman, venom or not. I'm still hoping for some venom-esque type of drug to be introduced but who knows. From the new trailer and the concept it's clear that Bane has become a leader of the LoS and if he is that's no easy task.

I'm not trying to change anyones minds either, do what you do holmes. All I know is I got my IMAX marathon tickets and can't wait to see this.

In a situation like what happened in Colorado I'm not sure carrying your own weapon would've done much.

I should have elaborated, carrying and defending yourself is perfectly fine in my book, but that crazy bastard had the element of surprise on his side. By the time you might react it could be over, the environment could likely change, etc.

There are a lot of variables in such a chaotic situation.

yeah, i'd probably just piss myself, pass out and then shit myself.

but given the choice, to be trapped in a room with an armed attacker, i'd choose to be armed.

that being said, i don't want to live in a world where i feel that i need to carry a gun with me to the movies.

with home theaters and cable streaming, movie theaters are already near it's end of relevance. This will add another nail to the coffin.

If given the choice I am okay with having Cat Woman blow me.
