GR2 – Hello Spring – Pamela Henderson
Pamela Henderson
Pamela Henderson is an Art Center graduate who now calls Austin, Texas home. Her works have grown and this exhibition features a different look and feel. Henderson explains, “The overall theme of this group of images deals with putting all your eggs in one basket so to speak, and the risks inherent. Interpersonal relationships, gorging, camouflage, thwarted plans, and human tendency toward self destruction…”
For this exhibition a few of Henderson’s larger paintings incorporate collage, which is a new endeavor. The “The Flower Eater” contains collaged pieces of popular Audobon florals amongst the other painted flowers and elements that the creature is ingesting. (An idea inspired by bathroom graffiti where years of remnants of promotional stickers exist among layers of handwritten sentiments).
