Giant Robot is proud to celebrate the release of the Lettus Bee vinyl figure by San Pedro-based artist, illustrator, designer, writer, and independent publisher, as well as art director of Girl Skateboards, Andy Jenkins. Made in conjunction with Ningyoushi and Upper Playground, the piece faithfully brings to three dimensions a character from the Wrench Pilot comic strip that Jenkins and Mel Blend created for TransWorld Skateboarding in the early ’90s, and was made in a strictly limited edition of 500.

In addition to showing the new piece (which features the iconic skater doing an un-heroic face plant with his board in mid-air) Jenkins will bring out numerous related offerings, including Wrench Pilot giclee or silkscreen prints; original black-and-white ink drawings; selected items from his publishing and printing company, Bend Press; and other surprises.

The opening reception will take place from 6:30 – 10:00 on Saturday, April 21.
