Here’s a set of pics.

The cat is my entry. It’s a Cat on a Box in a Field. Paper clay, wood, acrylic paint. It’s what a cat would do, right? The pic isn’t the best, but maybe that’s the best way to see it. It sold. The wood block is ancient from a box of children’s blocks I picked up ages ago.

Giant Robot Store products, new and in stock! Maneki Cat. ($21) will nod it’s head and arm wishing you constant luck and enjoyment. It’ll work by your desk, kitchen, nightstand as long as you have a little bit of light. It’s solar.     Mini Colored Pencils. ($4.50) From Japan where tiny items like this make life fun. This article on touching pets even if you don’t have one is a big deal. According to Martin Lindstrom, “Japanese research has shown that the more time we spend touching pets, the longer we live.” As we live more online than ever, we need the touch of something alive and something that grounds us. Maybe it’ll be cat cafes that spring up in the US, but at the same time, cat cafes are really far and in between in Japan. (Fast Company – Cats) The below photo is one that we shot a few years ago. Calico Cafe is one of the cat cafe’s in Japan that’s a rental. Pay as you come in and pet cats as a therapeutic release. (GR – Calico)

Every cat has a story.

This cat is just pretty. 3 years old and pretty small at guessing 7 or 8 lbs.

The Odd Couple. That’s a female orange cat. Usually they’re male. On the right, that’s Boo Boo. She’s 13 and has an “old face” and great character. It’s funny, the orange is the largest and Boo Boo is oldest, but somehow they’re best friends. Be part of a cats story and adopt one when you can.

Yes, on the tragic anniversary one decade ago, we’ve teamed up with Animal Services in West LA to help find homes for cats and kittens. It was a little over two years ago that I adopted a kitten. I’m a dog person, and realizing that it was impossible for me to care for a dog correctly, I decided to try out a cat. It sounds ominous to just try a live animal, but with the support around me, I was sure it would work. Soon, one became two. I can now say I’m both a dog and cat person and surely, my cats have a much greater life than before. This sunday, this is your chance, take in a cat! I adopted the one on the right.
