Can this be a scam? Roughed up might be a nice word for it, but really, how rough was it? His rant and yelling at a crew member in the past is more of a “roughing up”. Surely the crew with Christian Bale knew that visiting an activist who’s heavily guarded would created great news footage in preparation for his Flowers of War film which takes place in China. Too bad the photo below isn’t real. How would that make any sense to the story. In fact, while doing some research (seriously not too much), most who wrote about this story used other photos of an Asian stripper but it wasn’t from the actual event. In the end, the need to illustrate a story so people will read it far supersedes the story itself. So we did the same. Random Asian girl, back to camera, you can see thong and dudes. In the end, the story. Oh yeah there is a story. Here it is. “Man hires stripper for son’s party, gets arrested.” It happened in China. It’s not worth reading another sentence about it. But the photo made you look.

The vase went for 83 Million dollars. But it’s unpaid. The auction houses have reported great numbers for objects of late. Especially with Chinese buyers, the art market in Asia exploded in 2010 and 2011. Yet all of the great numbers weren’t real. A Chinese scroll sold sold for 22 million Euros which is higher in US dollars, but that too is unpaid. These headline items made huge news, but months and months later, you don’t hear that the items never changed hands and will most likely go back to auction and be sold for much less.
