Pot stash found from an ancient tomb in China. “Archaeologists who dug up a 2,700-year-old tomb of a shaman near Turpan out in far west Xinjiang province found a curious pouch. News reports call it the oldest stash of marijuana on Earth.” The tomb site was of a shaman and perhaps pot was used for holy adventures. It turns out in some places in China, it’s no big deal. People still smoke, eat, drink, and do just about everything with marijuana. (Seattle Times – Pot in China)

On a hot day, this has to be the worst. A true Hershey highway will run through the walk ways. The theme park is actually at the Himilayas Art Museum which sounds like a mismatch of a name from December 16 to February 19, 2012 and will feature chocolate art as seem in the photos but you’ll be able to make chocolate and participate is trying chocolate. “Oh no…” they’re thinking, the NBA is going to start and the folks who thought of leaving are now unable to come back. Their families, friends, and ex teammates will be playing ball on the networks and getting new endorsements, meanwhile they’re in China trying to do the same and getting acclimated to their new lives and new foods, and… no friends. They’re having mixed results, but it’s great to see that Wilson Chandler, a player that’s either underrated in the NBA or misunderstood is having a kick ass year so far averaging 32 points a game. Stephan Marbury an already well liked player in China has found a new home. It looks like the players who are there this season, are there. (WSJ – NBA Players in China)

Imagine if it happened… College majors that don’t pay, like English, History, Psychology, Art were cancelled. China may do this at their colleges since the jobless numbers seem to be increasing alongside of the number of graduates. It’s facing some resistance, but at the same time, imagine if it happened here. It would support a logjam of people with similar majors fighting for the same jobs. Will that help or create yet a larger problem? (WSJ – Education)

5000 years of China via comics in 125 pages?! How? In an interview with the Global Times, The opening line of the book is, “After 17,434 natural disasters, 3,791 massive wars, 663 emperors and 95 dynasties, the 5,000-year civilization lives on.” Comics artist Liu Jing explains his thought process and hopefully it’ll be a book that’ll teach and entertain at the same time.
