Giant Robot Store and GR2 News

LA Times blogs the car! I'm not sure if people are liking the car, or having fun with it as some kind of odd marvel, but either way, it's working for me. I think. First the LA Times Nathan

I spent the days leading to, and getting ready for, the GR Yard Sale. It's not exactly a Yard Sale since 1) we're not in a yard 2) it's not typical used junk 3) it's actually at a retail store. I'm sure people walk by thinking we're charging retail for the books, shirts, dvds, etc, but little do they know, it's really low priced. $1, $2, $4… (4 cd's for a $1!) it's not a lot, and some of the customers being Asian think the highest prices. I also cut together a cheap medley of songs.

The Slants at Giant Robot 2. I'll admit I don't know this band very well. But they're from Portland, Asian American, and their music is melodic in a post New Order sort of way perhaps from A-Ron's strong vocals. I like the fact that they're called Chinatown Dance Rock. They're not dance rock, they're more darker pop. I haven't seen them live electric yet, but acoustic, you have them playing like a well seasoned band. They play together. I like the fact that Tyler plays drums, but acoustic, he plays a mean guitar and sings too!
