It’s always nice to see articles on the walls of places that we visit. You’d have no idea it’s a GR article, but there it is on the cork board next to the front door. A lot of things come to mind with this article. 1) Lance Hahn from J Church died in Austin, Texas, while we stood outside eating shaved ice in his home state of Hawaii. 2) Martin’s uncle who drove us there, passed away earlier this year. 3) On to the happy: It’s always great to see new people try the smoothness of the ice. 4) the small local business thrives. I hope. 5) The small things we do, like write articles about people, mean a lot more to others, than us. It might not be the excitement by our subject, but what about their family and friends. I forget about them. Maybe Waiola market cares more than us. It’s on their wall.

See the Riceballs? Imagine, it's not all rice, it's actually rice and potato. That red thing? Some pickled something. It was tart. This isn't really Nepali. It's some kind of hybrid, which exists even among the Nepali! The owner is a Nepali dude who looks interesting, and speaks with an accent. The tea tasted Turkish. It was sweet and nice. The food, great. Saultee Mode is a great place in Ebisu.

It’s some kind of hybrid, which exists even among the Nepali! The owner is a Nepali dude who looks interesting, and speaks with an accent. The tea tasted Turkish. It was sweet and nice. The food, great. Saultee Mode is a great place in Ebisu.  That’s the main dish. Chicken, rice, we poured the soup on the rice which is the way to go. there’s pickled fish and vegetables. Pakora! They’re also from Nepal. The cool thing is that when you order food here, you hear chopping. It’s because everything is made the second you order it. It’s a tiny spot, and there’s also a full bar, so there are regulars. It’s weird seeing a guy come in wearing a suit sitting in front of a Nepali dude who’s still learning English. That’s the inside. Simple and nice.

I like how you can walk down the street in Tokyo and see Tommy Lee Jones in a Coffee billboard. The whole Boss coffee campaign is great. Tommy plays a regular guy, sort of like a Japanese guy. But he's the man behind Boss. Does that make any sense? TLJ always plays a boss type of character, but he's juxtaposed as a foreigner in Japan. He sometimes sheds tears in the commercials.
