It may not seem like much, but an Asian American coaching a serious college football program is a rarity. He’ll be the head coach at University of Hawaii, the perfect fit since he’s a Chinese American from Hawaii. His claim to fame aside from being part of the BYU football program, mostly as a play caller and then his Offensive Coordinator position at USC during their national number one years in 2003 and 2004. He’s basically a coach and will be the perfect fit for the school. (Fox – Norm Chow)

Wakana Ueda, 11 finished the Honolulu Marathon in 14 hours. The last person to cross the line, it’s hard to imagine that she’d want to do this 26 mile course. The cynic says that she was put up to it, but she did it and it’s an amazing feat. The marathon took place December 11.
