They’re 25-50 meters tall, solar powered, will collect rainwater, provide shade (obviously), will have plants growing on it, will be a temperature gauge (need more than 1?) and will look cool. They’re part of a development called Gardens by the Bay. There’ll be more including a plant conservatory that will cost admission, and if it’s anything like the Singapore we know, they’re going to be plenty of food. Does eco tourism really work? For some, life begins and ends with pizza. After visiting a Belgian Beer bar, yes I admit I went to a bar, the pizza place next door is said to be the quality of crap. The bartender said that the place to go is Joe’s in Greenwich Village. It might be one of the best. Newbs like me tried the pepperoni first, but the real test is the simple cheese. That’s what 95% of the people walking in get.
